Wrexham Firework Spectacular has proved a hit with residents having already sold over 2,500 tickets.

Despite only being in June, the event which takes place on Bonfire Night at the Rock the Park festival site on Borras Hall Lane has seen an overwhelming number of ticket sales - adding to the anticipation of the biggest firework display in North Wales.

The event, presented by Rock the Park Music Festival features fireworks, lasers, and drones alongside live music, a fairground, bars, stalls and more. There will also be an appearance from DJ Sash in addition to performances from Little Mix, Queen, and Stereophonics tribute acts.

The company behind the display are responsible for London’s New Years Eve and Alton Towers fireworks.

Rock the Park managing director, Sam Foulkes said: “We are thrilled to have such fantastic local support for the event. Considering we are only in June and the event isn’t until November 5th along with the current climate where spending is at a premium with higher household bills, we couldn’t be happier.”

“Last year my family and I went to Llandudno for the fireworks extravaganza there, and we saw many people we knew from Wrexham and surrounding areas. It got me thinking, why are so many people from Wrexham travelling over an hour away to Llandudno.

“I looked around in the local area and there are many bonfire display big and small but they all do the same thing and have small fireworks displays. There was nothing that stands out and this is why Wrexham Fireworks Spectacular was founded.”

“There really isn't an event like it anywhere in the county and this is why we believe ticket sales are so high so far in advance."

Tickets are selling fast for what appears to be the ‘go to’ place for firework displays in Wrexham.
