A new gym is opening in Connah’s Quay, hoping to carry on the legacy of a previous owner.
Evolve Fitness takes the place of Gemini Fitness Centre under the new ownership of Steve Pye.
Steve, 39, from Connah’s Quay said he has taken on the gym to carry on the legacy of previous owner, Doug Lawrenson who sadly passed away. Doug, who was a PT instructor in the army, ran Gemini Fitness Centre for 25 years.
Ahead of opening, Steve said: “I’m going to put my own spin on the gym, but I’ve learned a lot from him (Doug) and how to run the business itself. He was a legend.
“It was previously a male only gym, but I’m changing that now, so it is available for everyone
“I’d love to have something to show the work that he (Doug) has done and for me to carry that on.”
Evolve Fitness opens in Connah’s Quay on Saturday, June 18.
