Forgotten Riders to hold Bike Show for special care baby unit

The Forgotten Bike Show will take place on Saturday, July 23, on Holywell High Street.

Those visiting can expect to see show prizes, raffles, live bands, kids ride, stalls, a kids petting zoo and of course lots of bikes. 

The event is being organised by the Forgotten Riders M.C.C Motorcycle Club, a group of 11 motorcycle enthusiasts that are based in Holywell, Chester and Saltney.

Keef Richmond, a member of the group and the organiser of the event, said: "We're just mates that like bikes".

Marcus Stax is the president of the club and him and Keef have known each other for over 20 years.

The pair started the club around 6 months ago and have organised monthly meet ups around North Wales. 

The club hopes to raise money for the Glan Clwyd Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) through the event. 

Mr Richmond said: "When we were thinking about organising the bike show we wanted to put it towards something and for someone to benefit from it."

The choice to support SCBU comes from both Mr Stax and Mr Richmond, as both men had children or grandchildren who benefitted from the units' care. 

Mr Richmond praised the work of the unit and said: "It's a wonderful thing that they do".

Mr Richmond had two grandchildren who required the service as they were both born premature and one had a cleft lip palette and needed a lot of specialist care.

The main attraction at the event is the Grand raffle which boasts some top prizes.

The event starts at 10am.
