Wrexham fans have given their thoughts on the decision for the Vanarama National League play-off final to be staged at the London Stadium.

It was confirmed earlier this week by the Vanarama National League that their play-off final will be held at West Ham's London Stadium.

The game, which will kick off at 3pm on Sunday June 5, clashes with Wales' bid to make the World Cup Finals when they host Ukraine or Scotland for a place in Qatar.

That decision has already come as a disappointment to many Reds' fans and the club also expressed their concerns about the clash.

That is not the only issue fans are having with the final plans.

As it stands, the current top seven in the National League are: Stockport, Wrexham, Halifax Town, Solihull Moors, Notts County, Chesterfield and Grimsby.

The closest of which is 129 miles from the London Stadium and the furthest is 211 miles away.

While it is always said a day out at Wembley is something for players and fans to cherish, it leads to questions being raised as to if it can be moved from Wembley, why can't it be moved closer to accomadate the sides pushing for promotion.

If Phil Parkinson's side reach the final, it will mean two 400 mile round trips to London in two weeks, with the FA Trophy final being held at Wembley two weeks prior to the National Leauge showpiece.

While no fan will disregard their excitement for potential success, with the current living crisis going on, you begin to wonder how much the trips could cost fans.

Paul said: "Absolutely ridiculous once again, the fans are not appreciated, they should remember without fans there is no football."

Thomas added: "Garbage. Complete disconnection with fans, the sport and the current economy."

Debbie said: "If they can move it from Wembley why can’t the move it further north to benefit teams in play offs?"

Jack gave his thoughts on the decision: "Scandalous....I can't understand the logic behind that decision."

Anthony however felt it wasn't an issue as he gave a confident answer of: "We're going up as champs."

The National League were approached for a comment, but did not respond.

When announcing their decision to hold the final at the London Stadium, the League General Manager Mark Ives said:

“It is a fantastic sporting arena with a rich history and very befitting of our showpiece Promotion Final.

“Whilst we don’t know who will get to the Promotion Final yet, what we can now promise is a stadium worthy of hosting such a huge game."
