IN-FORM Wrexham AFC midfielder Jordan Davies has dedicated his latest goals to his late grandmother.

The Reds produced a fantastic second half turnaround away at Weymouth on Tuesday night, coming from 1-0 down at half time to win 6-1.

Goals from Davies (2), Paul Mullin, James Jones and Ollie Palmer kept Wrexham just four points behind National League-leaders Stockport County in second in the table.

The Reds showed great character to bounce back from a disappointing 2-1 loss at Woking in the previous game and relegated Weymouth in the process.

Following the match, 23-year-old Davies took to Twitter to pay tribute to his grandmother, dedicating the two goals he scored v Weymouth to her.

Davies, who is from Coedpoeth, says he 'lost his nannie on Sunday', adding that his 19th and 20th goals of the season were in memory of her.

The midfielder is having a season to remember for the Reds having reached 20 goals for the season with his double v Weymouth.

In doing so, Davies has become the first non-striker to score 20 goals in a season for Wrexham FC since Steve Charles in 1985/86 (24 goals including eight penalties).

Dubbed the "Coedy Assassin", he came through the youth ranks at Wrexham and was touted as one of the club's most talented youngsters.
