SHOPPERS in Wrexham were given a bit of a fright recently when they were greeted by a jumping dinosaur.

If you were out and about shopping at Tesco on Well Street, Wrexham on April 10 then you may well have had a scare yourself.

But, there was a good reason why the lively velociraptor was by the entrance to the store.

It was all part of a leaflet drop session ahead of Jurassic Live's upcoming show in the area.

Currently on a huge UK and Ireland theatre and arena tour, the dinosaur experience will be coming to Plas Madoc Leisure Centre in Acrefair, Wrexham on April 23 and 24.

In the video above, Ranger Joe (Nathan Saxton) is joined by Velociraptor Flo (performed by Jake Krause).

It shows some unsuspecting Tesco shoppers getting the surprise of a lifetime as they come face to face with the 'dinosaur'.

Jurassic Live's show follows two rangers on an adventure looking for a missing baby dinosaur.

Along the way, guests will meet Europe's biggest Tyrannosaurus Rex and the UK'S only Apatosaurus and Stegosaurus, along with a Triceratops, Velociraptor and Stegosaurus.
