ONE-HALF of Wrexham AFC's Hollywood ownership praised the 'absolutely stunning' support for the club as an attendance record was broken again this afternoon (Monday, April 18).

A total of 10,022 supporters turned up to watch the Reds beat Altrincham 4-0 at the Racecourse earlier today.

That is the biggest attendance for a home league match since the club played in the English Football League back in 2007.

That beat a record set just four days earlier when a crowd of 9,971 turned up to watch Ollie Palmer's goal seal a point in a 1-1 draw v National League promotion rivals Solihull Moors.

Wrexham‘s first 19 home league games of this season all attracted attendances in excess of 5,000 for the first time since the 1978-9 season.

And that was no different at the Racecourse this afternoon as a mammoth 10,022 spectators were in attendance.

Just last week, co-owner of Wrexham AFC and Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds hailed the support for the team as being 'like nothing else'.

The Leader:

PIC: Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Following the latest win, fellow owner and 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' star Rob McElhenney was also full of admiration for the club's supporters.

He hailed the fans as 'the beating heart of this club'.

He Tweeted the following:

Both Ryan and Rob, who took over the club over a year ago now, have been spotted at the Racecourse in previous months.

The victory over Altrincham, thanks to goals from Paul Mullin (2), Ollie Palmer and Jordan Davies sees Wrexham AFC stay in second place in the National League table.

It also takes Phil Parkinson's side's unbeaten run up to 15 matches as they look to find a way back into the English Football League next season.
