PISC is appealing for more volunteers today to help out on the Wrexham Industrial Estate.

The Polish Integration Support Centre (PISC) CIC continues its hard work to get donations to Ukrainian refugees who have fled their country to Poland.

Their work has been recognised locally and nationally in Parliament.

The Ukrainian aid project has now been ongoing for almost three weeks, where they have managed to send a total of 35 lorries on their way to Poland, 25 of which were sent as part of a convoy from Wrexham.

Now Chester will also be having a convoy from Wood Farm, Deeside Lane, Sealand Road, Chester CH1 6BP.

PISC has asked for volunteers to help out at AKRG Ltd, Unit F, Bryn Busines Centre, Bryn Lane, Wrexham Industrial Estate, LL13 9UT.

A spokesperson for PISC CIC said: “A lorry will begin to be loaded at 12pm at the Wrexham Industrial Estate (not the F Lloyd Penley site). This is a smaller storage unit from which donations will be transported to our main warehouse in Chester Woodfarm. How long this will take will depend solely on the amount of Volunteers that show up; this has been very short notice, so we are not expecting many.”

They added: “Work continues in our Chester warehouse, where donations are continually sorted in preparation for our second convoy scheduled for the 27 (March)”
