A NEW estate agents branch has been officially opened in a Flintshire town.

William Gleave Estate Agents already has sites in Buckley, Deeside, Rhyl and even Llandudno.

Now, as of Monday March 14, it also has a site based in Holywell following the official opening.

Holywell Mayor Ted Palmer and Flintshire County Council Chairman Joe Johnson joined branch manager Richard Newsome for the unveiling.

Richard has 18 years experience in the field and was previously branch manager at Reid & Roberts, also in Holywell, for 14 of those years.

Having grown up in Holywell, he says he believes the new estate agent in town can be 'a big plus' for the community.

Richard said: "The opening day was fantastic. Holywell Mayor, Edward Palmer, and Chairman of Flintshire County Council, Joe Johnson, kindly officially opened the shop for us.

"We’ve had a fantastic response too. We posted some photographs on Facebook and Instagram and we’ve had a really warm welcome from local residents with lots of lovely comments.

"Even though we ‘officially’ opened on Monday, we’ve been operational for a couple of weeks already but it was great to finally have the shop finished and open to the general public."

Asked about the properties William Gleave have had/have up for sale, Richard added: "It’s been crazy, even though the shop only opened on Monday, we already have 14 properties – some of which aren’t even on Rightmove yet and some which are already sold.

"It’s been a great start. We cover Holywell and all the surrounding villages but we also have offices in Buckley, Deeside, Rhyl and Llandudno, so as a company, we pretty much cover most of North East Wales.

"I think we will be looking to expand further over the next couple of years by opening a couple more branches in North Wales.

"I don’t want us to just be ‘another estate agent’ in Holywell. I want the residents of Holywell to sell their property through a local person.

"The company ethos is based around customer service, so we would like to think of ourselves as the ‘go to agent’ for clients who need help or advice with selling or buying a property. We hope to be able to grow the office further whilst helping the people of Holywell on their property journey."
