THE SITE of a former second-hand car dealership in Deeside could be turned into a mixture of retail and business units.

A planning application has been submitted to Flintshire Council redevelop the site of the former Used Car XChange on Station Road in Queensferry.

It would see a change of use of the site into shops retail and business units - which would also include and storage and distribution units.

It would see new cladding to the walls and roof, as well as two new roller shutter doors to front elevation and two new glazed double entrance doors to the front elevation.

Other notable planning applications recently submitted to Flintshire Council, and planning decisions made by the local authority, are as follows:

  • Application for the operation of a dairy vending machine/farm shop and all associated works at Mynydd Mostyn, Berthengam, Holywell.
  • Refusal of plans for the demolition of existing home and construction of a replacement, together with an additional one, at Brynallt Smithy Lane, Northop Hall.
  • Approval of plans for new play areas at Bailey Hill, Denbigh Road, Mold. Play equipment will include a timber fort, basket swing, climbing wall, perimeter fencing and seating.
  • Refusal of plans for eight glamping pods, as well as a reception/storage hut, bike storage, recycling/waste facilities and footpaths and landscaping, at Top Pen y Parc Farm, Pant Y Gof, Halkyn.
