WHEN an actor gets a job on Casualty, they'll usually be donned with fake blood to portray an injury victim.

However, for a young Denbighshire actor, she has won a pivotal role on the long-running BBC1 show.

Five-year-old Aurora Jones, from Trefnant, will be on our screens for the first time on Saturday evening.

She is playing Charlotte, the daughter of Robyn Miller (Amanda Henderson).

The episode will be broadcast at 9.30pm on Saturday.

"For a local girl from Trefnant to be in a major BBC programme is brilliant," said Aurora's grandmother Jane Heckman, the principal of performing arts school Stagecoach, in Denbigh.

The Leader: Aurora Jones.Aurora Jones.

Laura Heckman, Aurora's mum, is the early stages and drama teacher at Stagecoach.

In a message on Facebook, Denbigh Stagecoach said: "We couldn’t be prouder of our beautiful, clever little girl who absolutely wowed us with her maturity and professionalism on set and around so many awesome actors!

"Her warm, funny, infectious and bubbly personality was so evident as she made friends with all cast and crew giving them all nicknames!

"What an experience, and it’s only just begun!"

Amanda Henderson told whattowatch.com: "I loved every single moment, especially the scenes with Aurora Jones, who plays Charlotte.

"We had the best time walking along the beach and singing songs! She’s brilliant."
