B&M has announced it is set to open a brand new store in Wrexham at 9am on Friday.

Creating more than 50 jobs for local people, the brand new store on Border Retail Park will be B&M's 700th.

Customers can expect to find an extensive range of branded products including food, drink, baby food and pet food.

There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.

The new colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community.

They chose the team from Advance Brighter Futures who will be taking centre stage to officially unveil the new B&M store.

The charity is a Mental Health Charity based in Wrexham North Wales and is centred around improving quality of life to the people of Wrexham. The charity was established in 1992 and aim to work in partnership with people experiencing mental distress in promoting health, wellbeing and recovery in Wrexham and its local communities.

In addition to opening the new store, the team will also receive £500 worth of B&M vouchers to go towards the charity.

Ahead of the milestone 700th store opening, B&Ms CEO, Simon Arora, said: “We’re delighted to be opening our 700th store and really looking forward to welcoming our new customers in Wrexham.

It was only 15 years ago that B&M was just a regional retailer with just 20 stores, mostly in Lancashire. Today we have stores that span the length of the UK, stretching from Aberdeen to Penzance. Our continued growth demonstrates that ‘everyone loves a bargain’.

As we continue to grow, everyone at B&M can be proud of this special day, opening our milestone 700th store and what they have achieved to arrive at this landmark occasion. The dedication and hard work from our colleagues make us very proud.”

The former Pound Stretcher store has undergone an internal and external refurbishment programme and created 50 jobs.

B&M is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers and customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, games, food & drink, homeware, pet products, DIY essentials and health & beauty and seasonal gifts ranges.
