PUPILS at Theatretrain's School of Performing Arts are moving their classes to Coleg Camria's new building at the Yale site in Wrexham town centre.

Theatretrain first opened it's doors in Wrexham in November 2007 and since that time has seen it's pupils perform at The Stiwt in Rhos, Theatr Clwyd in Mold, The Palace Theatre in Manchester and even The Royal Albert Hall in London.

The pupils will now be learning at Coleg Cambria's Wrexham site, which has a performing arts department.

The Artistic Director, Steve Davies, said: "The move to Coleg Cambria is a great opportunity for our pupils as they have the opportunity to work in purpose built performance spaces in a great new building."

Each Saturday morning the children aged between six and 18 enjoy an hour of each subject of dancing, acting and singing which gives them a fully rounded experience of the performing arts. There are also shorter classes for 4-5-year-olds and free introductory half hour sessions for three-year-olds.

The first session of the new term welcomed pupils into their classes with songs from the new Disney film 'Encanto' as well as musical theatre favourite 'SIX'. Drama exercises ensured that children were coached in additional life skills such as confidence building, teamwork and public speaking.

Theatretrain is taking registrations for the rest of the term and parents are directed to the group's website, www.theatretrain.co.uk/wrexham or they can contact Steve Davies directly at wrexham@theatretrain.co.uk
