POLICE have seized dogs as part of an operation tackling wildlife crime in north east Wales.

North Wales Police's Rural Crime team has said its officers, partnership with RSPCA Cymru, today (Wednesday, January 26) conducted search warrants under Animal Welfare and Protection of Badger Acts at an address in Prestatyn, in relation to "badger persecution".

Four dogs have been seized and an investigation has been launched, police said.
