A NEW £25million development in Wrexham is beginning to take shape, and hiring for job vacancies is already underway.

The huge warehouse and office will be the new headquarters of online retailer, Net World Sports, just a mile away from their current location on Wrexham Industrial Estate.

Now five months into development, the 411,000 sq ft base, expected to be completed by mid-summer this year, will serve as the company's long-term home and will create a significant number of new jobs for local people across a range of different departments.

A grand opening is planned for August 22, and while warehouse staff will already be in, office staff will be using the new site from that date.

The new warehouse and office was designed by C4 Architects and is being built by Portal Construction NW who are based in Tarporley.

Net World Sports staff were encouraged to give their input on what they'd like the new site to include, and plans feature a bar, gym, onsite canteen, treatment rooms, football pitch, tennis court and running track, with more exciting additions still being discussed.

The new site will create a wide range of exciting new job opportunities for local people across various different sectors and disciplines as the business continues to expand.
