Traffic on a stretch of A483 in Wrexham was at a 'standstill', with police having halted vehicles.
Police were stopping traffic on the southbound carriageway at the Newbridge bypass at Sunday lunch time.
Tailbacks were reportedly as far back as the Shell petrol station at Ruabon.
The carriageway is now thought to be clear, with traffic returning to normal.
We await to hear from police as to why traffic was stopped.
