A DRIVER from Flintshire must cough up £574 after being caught speeding near Aberystwyth.
Michael John Jones, of Mold Road, Mynydd Isa, was clocked speeding in a 30mph zone on August 21, 2021.
His Volkswagen Golf was recorded at 43mph.
Llanelli Magistrates' Court heard that the speed limit on the A487 Llanrhystud was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.
Jones, 40, was fined £440.
He must also pay a surcharge of £44 to fund victim services and costs of £90.
He has until February 7 to pay the total of £574.
Jones also got four points on his driving licence.
