Jurassic Live is heading to Wrexham this weekend in support of Nightingale House Hospice.

The fundraiser, organised by the company that created Rock the Park, will take place on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12 in Wrexham town centre.

The event is free to the public, with dinosaurs set to roam the streets of Wrexham from 12pm to 3pm on each day.

The dinosaurs set off from Henblas Street at 12pm before passing through Queens Square, Argyle Street, Hope Street and Queen Street before returning to where they started for a chance to have pictures taken.

The event is expected to be busy, so people are being advised to turn up early.

Amanda Kinsey from Nightingale House hospice said:

"We are thrilled that Jurassic Live is supporting the hospice this weekend. We have seen one do the dinosaurs face to face and Wrexham is in for a treat!

"Please head down to town centre on Saturday and Sunday and enjoy the dinosaurs which are just magnificent and please kindly donate to our volunteer bucket collectors and help us raise these much needed funds for our hospice. We would like to say a huge thank you to Sam and his team for their support."

Sam Foulkes, organiser of Jurassic Live said:

"We are proud to be able to bring this to our home town this Christmas, supporting families with a free event for the little ones whilst supporting and raising vital much needed funds for Nightingale house hospice who recently cared for my Auntie Katherine and Nana Julie who both lost their lives to cancer this year and were cared for by the hospice.

"The work all the staff, volunteers and nurses do at the hospice is just amazing and we are incredibly proud to be able to give something back."
