A HOUSE fire in Flintshire was believed to have been started by a light being left on.
Firefighters were called to a blaze at a property on Sydney Street in Flint on Thursday morning.
Crews from Flint and Holywell attended the fire - which caused damage to the understairs cupboard and lounge, smoke damage to the lounge and kitchen and light smoke damage to upstairs.
The cause is thought to be a light left on under the stairs igniting cushions, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said.
Sadly, a cat perished in the incident.
