An event specifically aimed at budding women entrepreneurs in the Wrexham area, will see two local businesswomen share their success stories.

Natalie J Griffiths, who owns her illustration company, and Lowri Rhys Roberts, founder of Casgliad, will join Chwarae Teg's free 'Is there an idea in me?' webinar from 10.30am-12.30pm on Wednesday, December 1.

Having studied illustration at North Wales School of Art & Design - Glyndwr University, Natalie set up her business specialising in character-based illustration and hand lettering.

Inspired by sport, with an admittedly heavy Welsh bias, she captures characters and creates fun and vibrant work.

Natalie, said: "I'm really looking forward to the event. Having my own business and being able to do what I'm passionate about everyday is something I'd like to see for more women - it's hard work but very rewarding.

"I hope that women who have ever thought about starting a business sign up to the webinar. Hopefully I can help provide a bit of inspiration and get them thinking about taking the first step into entrepreneurship."

Last year Lowri gave up her full-time job as an architect to pursue her passion for contemporary design. She has since created Casgliad - an online platform showcasing and selling contemporary Welsh homeware and artwork - bringing together the many talented makers and artists across Wales.

Lowri, said: "I'm delighted to be involved in the 'Is there an idea in me?' webinar. I understand from personal experience that it can feel like a big leap to look at starting a business. "However the support is out there and available through this event. I hope women sign up to find out more as they have nothing to lose but possibly everything to gain."

The online session, for would-be businesswomen, will share the journeys of Natalie and Lowri as role models for others, explain how even hidden talents can be tuned in to a money-making business, and provide information on local support.

The 'Is there an idea in me?' webinar forms part of Chwarae Teg's partnership with Simply Do Ideas, funded by NatWest, and supported by Big Ideas Wales, as they work together to increase the number of women entrepreneurs across the nation.

Simply Do Ideas is providing their online platform as the 'All Women Entrepreneurial Network' (or 'AWEN') which women can join, following the webinar. It provides opportunities to connect and collaborate with other women setting out on their entrepreneurial journeys, and offers the support needed to make their business dreams a reality.
