An inquest has been opened into the death of a Connah's Quay man found dead by his mother.
At a hearing in County Hall, Ruthin, John Gittins, coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that Kevin Thomas Jones, 50, was known to have taken an overdose of drugs twice in the past two or three months.
On October 21 his mother Joyce heard a noise upstairs and found him lying on the floor of his bedroom in River View. A needle containing some drug lay nearby.
Mrs Jones told police that he was not a regular drug user.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed for toxicology tests to be carried out.
