Coffee Morning at the Parish Hall

THERE will be a community coffee morning from 10.30am until midday today (Wednesday) at Chirk Parish Hall in Holyhead Road.

There will be tea, coffee, cake and chat for free.

Donations of goods or funds to be used to support the community cupboard will be most welcome.

The cupboard is open between 3-6pm each Wednesday at the Parish Hall.

A spokesman said: “This project is open to anyone who lives or works in Chirk.

“We have a variety of food and drinks every week as well as limited toiletries and household items, all funded through community donations and by the generous support of FairShare and Neighbourly.

“Come and do your bit to reduce food waste and save some money at the same time. You will receive a warm welcome.

“No proof of benefits is required and there is no charge. However, we do limit the number of items that can be taken by each household as we are getting busier and busier and want to be fair to everyone.

“Donations to help support the cupboard are also very welcome, either in cash so that we can purchase additional items or in kind if you have surplus.

“If you are isolating or struggle with mobility, just let us know by Tuesday and we can arrange delivery of a food parcel for you.”
