RESIDENTS of Plas Madoc have been warned about cold callers operating in the area who are pretending to be from the council.
According to North Wales Police, the cold callers are claiming to be from the council before proceeding to ask to enter residents' homes and test their fire alarms.
A statement from NWP read: "For your awareness, we have received a report of cold-callers in Plas Madoc, claiming to be from the council and asking to enter residents properties to test their fire alarms.
"We are asking residents to challenge any callers to your property, who claim to be working for a specific company or agency, by asking them for ID. Please report any suspicious activity in the area to the Police using 999/101 or by using our web chat. Please ensure you share the message with your friends, family and neighbours."
