OVER 140 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Flintshire and Wrexham.

Public Health Wales figures released on Tuesday (October 12) show that of the 143 new cases were confirmed in two counties in the latest 24-hour period.

Of these, 106 were in Flintshire and 37 in Wrexham. Across the North Wales region as a whole, 367 new cases were confirmed.

As of October 3, there were 101 people being treated for Covid-19 in North Wales hospitals - making up roughly 4 per cent of inpatient's at the region's hospitals.

Sadly, a further one person has died in Wales in the latest 24-hour period having tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 28 days.
