OVER 300 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Flintshire and Wrexham.
Public Health Wales figures released on Monday (October 11) show that in the 48-hour period between 9am on Friday and 9am on Sunday - 310 new cases were confirmed.
Of these, 162 were in Flintshire and 148 in Wrexham.
As of October 6, Flintshire's seven-day infection rate was 403.6, while Wrexham's stood at 391.3.
Across the North Wales region as a whole, 822 new cases were confirmed across the 48-hour period.
As of October 3, 101 people were being treated for Covid-19 in North Wales hospitals - making up roughly 3 per cent of all inpatients at the region's hospitals.
Sadly, a further eight people who had tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 28 days died in Wales in the 48-hour period between Friday and Sunday.
