FESTIVAL lovers are continuing to enjoy a weekend of festivities thanks to the return of a popular event.

Last year, FOCUS Wales announced that the 10th edition of the festival had to be postponed until 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.

However, despite the wait, there were smiles all round as music lovers enjoyed the return of the popular event.

Visitors can be seen enjoying the acts on show, which runs from Thursday until Saturday.

FOCUS Wales is an international multi-venue showcase festival taking place in Wrexham, which places the music industry spotlight firmly on the emerging talent that Wales has to offer.

With over 250 artists and bands, film screenings and arts events, the events will be spread out onto 20 stages across the town at venues including Ty Pawb, St Giles, Llwyn Isaf, the Wynnstay Hotel and many more.

Photographer Brent Jones has his exhibition ‘In Focus - a decade of Focus Wales’ on show at Ty Pawb where he is sharing over 100 photographs of the event over the last ten years.

He said: "I have been taking photos at Focus Wales from the beginning. The exhibition contains over a hundred images capturing the performers and fans over the last decade.

"The prints are reproduced on acrylic glass and arranged in a block formation, so if you haven't experienced Focus Wales before the exhibition will hopefully give you an idea of the festival's look and atmosphere.

"The images show how important the artists are at an event like Focus Wales and also just how important the audiences and fans are, especially after the last 18 months and lockdown restrictions. It's good that everyone can come together again to enjoy live music.

"It's great that Focus Wales is going ahead again this year and I am looking forward to capturing some more memorable pictures at this years event."
