Chester Magistrates Court
A WREXHAM man has been handed points and fine after he was caught doing more than 50 miles per hour in a 30 zone.
Samuel James Povey, of Regent Street, was due to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The 37-year-old was convicted in his absence of exceeding a 30 mile per hour speed limit in Upton on Christmas Eve in 2020.
He was recorded in a BMW vehicle travelling at 53 miles per hour on The A41 Long Lane.
The defendant was fined £120 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 as well as £125 costs.
His driving record was endorsed with five points.
