THE date and venue for the 2021 Llangollen Food Festival has been announced, with a 'bitesize' version of the event set to take place.

Over the years, the major event - traditionally held at the international pavilion - has attracted thousands of people to the town on an annual basis.

It provides a shop window for more than 100 stallholders and has previously been named as one of the UK’s Top 10 food festivals by the Daily Telegraph and Independent newspapers.

This time around though, following what has been an uncertain year and a half for so many people and business alike, the event will be presented in a 'bitesize' version of itself.

It will take place in the courtyard of the Gale's Wine Bar on Bridge Street on October 16 and 17, between 10am and 4pm, and will be free to enter.

A statement from the organisers read: "We are super excited to announce that this year’s “Bitesized” Llangollen Food Festival will be held on 16th and 17th October in The Courtyard at Gale’s Wine Bar on Bridge Street.

"There will be a select group of amazing producers there. These will include both old favourites and some brand new ones for you to meet too. Lots of tasty treats will be available to explore such as chocolate, wines, fruit gins, patisserie and more .

"Throughout the days there will be talks from the producers, and on Saturday evening there will also be live music. We are so excited already!"

Among those on display this year will be:

  • Little Fudge Box (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Niche Patisserie (Sunday)
  • Powell’s Pies (Saturday and Sunday)
