A NORTH WALES author has released her first book, aimed at over 18's, which comes with a wicked sense of humour, as well as a delve into mental health.

The writer behind 'Wolfgang and The Baby Lunatic', who wishes to remain anonymous due to the nature of the book but writes under the pen name 'Charlie C. King', is from Ruthin.

The story, available for Kindle and now available on Amazon as a paperback, is about a dedicated children's therapist, Charlie, who is driven to the edge of insanity by a traumatic birth, postnatal depression and a pair of ovaries that keep trying to kill her.

Hoisted up by the knicker elastic by her amazing sister and friends, supported by her extremely handsome husband Fernando and fiercely loved by a feral little angel called Wolfgang, Baby Lunatic tells her story with a dark sense of humour and a few glasses of pink gin.

Author Charlie C King said: "I’ve written Wolfgang and The Baby Lunatic under a pen name to protect the confidentiality of my clients and my blushes at what is some pretty personal information in the book.

"This book is definitely for the over 18's with a sense of humour and an interest in mental health. Laugh out loud moments are peppered with much darker glimpses of a journey through the madness of postnatal depression."
