HUNDREDS of you commented on our story last week reporting how North Wales Police responded to reports of a "black panther" with a head "the size of a dinner plate" in Ruabon.

We reported how police had revealed details of an investigation into a "black panther" spotted in Ruabon in May last year.

Footprints from the animal were found and examined with the witness saying it had a head “the size of a dinner plate”.

North Wales Police revealed information of the sighting in May 2020 under the Freedom of Information Act.

Their summary of the incident report reads: “Footprints of a large animal found two weeks ago.

“Large animal, possibly a panther seen – head the size of a dinner plate – by a lone worker."

The story certainly caught your attention, your comments and likes meant the story reached more than 213,000 people on Facebook alone.

Many took the opportunity to share photos of their pet cats (all domestic as far as we can tell) and even of their children with their face's painted as tigers - very scary!
