THE SITE where a former cruise ship is docked held its first festival in 30 years.
The Fun Ship food Festival took place on Llan y Mor dock in Mostyn over the weekend.
The iconic Duke of Lancaster ship has been a landmark on the Flintshire coast for decades - and was home to a leisure and retail complex, named the Fun Ship, in the early 1980s.
It has been closed to the public since, but has been maintained by Llanerch y Mor Dock Holdings Ltd.
And the company ran the festival - which saw a variety of street food stalls, performers and entertainment grace the docks - and live wrestling.
Organiser Antony Rowley once lived on the ship owned by his family's business.
He said: "It went really well, and we're already looking ahead to holding more events there.
"The area will be open for private events bookings, like weddings and parties - and there are even plans for glamping pods."
People took to a local social media group to praise the event.
One person said: "It was lovely seeing everyone out and about, brilliant weather too.
"If people show their support and it is a success, I’m sure next time they will have even more food stalls. Thanks to the organisers - we had a lovely afternoon."
Another added: "I think they’ve done amazing for their first event. I hope there’s a lot more events in the future.
"As a family of six we’ve had a lovely time - well done to all involved."
