CUSTOMERS old and new have flocked to a new cafe in Llangollen.

Finley's Cafe and Sandwich Shop opened its doors on Monday after entrepreneur Rebekah Price expanded her business.

Rebekah had owned the sandwich shop next to the larger premises on Abbey Road for seven years, and often watched her regulars sitting on the wall opposite to munch their lunches.

So when the opportunity arose to take on the building, she grasped it.

After three weeks of hard work, both premises had become one and had been refurbished to welcome customers.

At Monday's grand opening, attended by MP for Clwyd South Simon Baynes, scores of customers returned to grab their breakfasts and lunches - this time with the option of it being served on a plate inside.

Rebekah said: "It was an amazing day. It was great to see so many of our regulars back. It was so busy that I went to bed at 7.30pm at the end of it because I was so tired."

Patrons were quick to take to social media to sing the praises of Rebekah and her cafe, which will be open seven days a week.

Michele Hargreaves Downing said: "Thank you for a beautiful breakfast today, we really enjoyed it. Good luck for the rest of the season."

Gail Jones said: "Thank you for the great lunch, perfect start to my walk up Castell Dinas Bran. Good luck!"

Nikki Roughley said: "Huge congratulations, I hope it’s a huge success!"
