THOUSANDS of adults in Flintshire and Wrexham have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, figures reveal.
Public Health Wales data shows 90,401 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to July 25 – 72 per cent of the area's age group.
They make up part of the 109,082 people who have been given at least one jab – 87 per cent of the over-18 population.
Figures on second doses for each age group in Flintshire show:
• 18 to 29 – 11,456 administered (57 per cent)
• 30 to 39 – 8,022 administered (41 per cent)
• 40 to 49 – 9,772 administered (51 per cent)
• 50 to 54 – 10,405 administered (87 per cent)
• 55 to 59 – 10,456 administered (89 per cent)
• 60 to 64 – 9,080 administered (91 per cent)
• 65 to 69 – 8,049 administered (94 per cent)
• 70 to 74 – 9,097 administered (96 per cent)
• 75 to 79 – 6,320 administered (97 per cent)
• 80 and over – 7,744 administered (95 per cent)
Meanwhile, Public Health Wales data shows 79,826 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to July 25 – 73per cent of the area's age group.
They make up part of the 94,012 people who have been given at least one jab – 86 per cent of the over-18 population.
Figures on second doses for each age group in Wrexham show:
• 18 to 29 – 7,738 administered (42 per cent)
• 30 to 39 – 9,106 administered (49 per cent)
• 40 to 49 – 12,311 administered (70 per cent)
• 50 to 54 – 9,026 administered (87 per cent)
• 55 to 59 – 8,647 administered (89 per cent)
• 60 to 64 – 7,510 administered (92 per cent)
• 65 to 69 – 6,931 administered (95 per cent)
• 70 to 74 – 7,122 administered (96 per cent)
• 75 to 79 – 5,160 administered (97 per cent)
• 80 and over – 6,275 administered (96 per cent)
Across Wales, 2 million people have had both doses, 77 per cent of the over-16 population, and 2.3 million (88 per cent) have had at least one dose.
The rates have been updated using recently released 2020 mid-year population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
Vaccinations are being given at 546 locations across Wales, including at 360 GP surgeries, 41 vaccination centres and 35 hospitals.
