OVER 180 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Flintshire and Wrexham.
Public Health Wales figures released on Monday (July 12) show that of the 181 new cases in the two counties, 96 were in Wrexham and 85 in Flintshire.
Wrexham's seven-day infection rate is now at 329 - the highest in Wales, while Flintshire's sits at 212 and is the second highest.
Across the North Wales region as a whole, 358 new cases have been confirmed.
A full breakdown of new North Wales cases is a follows:
Anglesey - 17 (Seven-day infection rate of 141.3)
Conwy - 56 (Seven-day infection rate of 183.4)
Denbighshire - 71 (Seven-day infection rate of (185.0)
Flintshire - 85 (Seven-day infection rate of 212.0)
Gwynedd - 33 (Seven-day infection rate of 131.7)
Wrexham - 96 (Seven-day infection rate of 329.5)
But despite the sharp rise in cases, hospital admissions and deaths remain very low - with calls coming from disease experts for all restrictions in Wales to now be lifted.
It comes after another weekend of zero coronavirus-related deaths has been recorded in Wales.
