IF you’re looking for a sweet treat, then Mold’s newest shop has your cravings covered!

Husband and wife duo Luke and Jamie-Lee Anderson became one of the newest business owners to set up shop in the town on Saturday, July 10.

Their business – Cravin’ – started in 2019 after loving to bake for friends and family.

Just before COVID hit the UK, the couple had branched out to offer online sales before setting up a stall on Mold’s weekly outdoor market in September 2020.

Now, the pair have set up their first shop just off Mold High Street on the Daniel Owen Precinct selling all kinds of delicious baked goods.

It was opened officially by town mayor Cllr Sarah Taylor as the doors were due welcome in hungry customers.

Jamie-Lee told the Leader how it is nothing short of 'a dream come true' to have their shop up and running.

She said: “It’s just been none stop since we opened the doors. We’re so happy that people have come to check us out and support our small business as it continues to grow.

“We’ve seen lots of people today who usually catch us on the market telling us how amazing it is to see us in our own shop.

“There’s such a strong sense of community here in Mold and we’re really pleased to have set up here. There is a real sense of people looking out for small businesses here.”

The couple said they have probably seen all manner of requests for cakes. With enough notice, they can create something that is perfect to make your special occasions – from birthdays and christenings to more.

They were quick to agree their quirkiest request so far has been a batch of divorce cupcakes!

Customers arriving on their opening day were not leaving disappointed – with smiles all round.

From blondies and brownies to flapjacks and cookies – there is bound to be something to take your fancy on the menu at Cravin’.

There are even tempting milkshakes on offer that change flavours weekly.
