A WOMAN has been handed a fine and had her suspended sentence strengthened after she admitted driving uninsured while disqualified.

Angela Claire Partington, of Highfields in Iscoyd, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The 39-year-old admitted that on March 23 in Striga Lane, Hanmer, she drove a Range Rover while disqualified.

She was fined £100 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, as well as £85.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

The court imposed no further penalty after she admitted driving on that date without third party insurance.

But as the offences were committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence order, made by Mold Magistrates Court in November for an offence of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, the sentence was made more onerous rather than being activated.

She received six days extra rehabilitation activity as part of the 12 week sentence, which was suspended for two years.
