POLICE have called on Buckley residents to share concerns about anti-social behaviour following a robust response to concerns about a youth with a weapon.
Sgt Emma Prevete of the Flintshire South police team told the Leader officers were told this week of a youth carrying a baton.
She said: "We attended and quickly identified three males - thankfully they were negative for any weapons.
"One of them did have a small amount of cannabis and there will be an investigation, but no one has been charged at this point.
"I'd like to reassure the residents in Buckley and Mynydd Isa that we are fully aware about anti-social behaviour concerns and we are targeting the key players who are driving it.
"We are policing hotspots, using visibility and engagement.
"I'd encourage any residents who have concerns to get in touch through the 101 system.
"In this case we were there in minutes and used powers to stop and search. "We take these concerns very seriously and we take a robust approach to tackle the problem."
