A 55-YEAR-OLD woman remains in hospital with "non-life-threatening injuries" following last week's collision on the A55 in Chester.

Cheshire Police also confirmed that there was no further update at this stage in relation to its investigation.

Last week the force launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident which occurred shortly after 12.30pm on Thursday (April 29).

An air ambulance was scrambled following the collision on the eastbound carriageway between the Posthouse Roundabout and Boughton Heath junctions.

It involved a black Mini Cooper, which was overturned, and a blue Vauxhall Insignia.

The driver of the Mini Cooper was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
