POLICE have issued a stern warning to youths engaging in anti-social behaviour in the Hawarden area.

North Wales Police's South Flintshire team says it is receiving increased reports of anti-social behaviour in and around the Ewloe and Hawarden areas - with reports of large groups of children causing issues for local residents.

And the policing team is urging parents to keep tabs on their children's whereabouts and what they are doing.

PC Glyn Hughes said: “We will be patrolling the area and anyone found misbehaving will be dealt with robustly.

"We will be working closely with officers from #FlintshireSouth to stamp out this unacceptable behaviour.”

Ewloe and Hawarden residents have taken to social media to note the increased police presence in the area in recent days.
