WREXHAM'S co-owner and his wife has shared a heartwarming video of the moment his wife reunited a lost dog with its family.

Earlier this week, Rob McElhenney, who completed the takeover of Wrexham AFC with fellow actor Ryan Reynolds this month, shared a picture of a dog found by his wife.

Rob is married to actress Kaitlin Olson, his It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-star, with whom he has two sons.

The dog, Rob tweeted to his followers, was found by Kaitlin on the 5 Freeway in Los Angeles.

The grey pitbull has distinctive green eyes, and short legs compared to his large head and body.

He said the family were considering calling it Frank after Danny Devito's character in It's Always Sunny.

Rob tweeted: "This handsome guy was found on the 5 Freeway by @KaitlinOlson. He’s got short legs and a giant head so we’re thinking of calling him: “Frank”. Thoughts?"

Almost immediately, friends of the family that own the the dog, who is actually called Chance, tweeted Rob.

They had been searching for him since he went missing from their home on April 20.

And today the story had a happy ending as Rob posted a video on Twitter of Kaitlin, who starred in comedy series The Mick and regularly appeared in Curb Your Enthusiasm, returning Chance to his family.

Kaitlin can be heard saying "Buddy, are you home?" before Chase runs to join his family as he happily wags his tail

Rob tweeted: 'OH MY GOD HIS TAIL'.
