A POPULAR Flintshire café will welcome back customers next week once restrictions have been lifted.

The award-wining Woodworks Café announced that it will re-open at 9am on Monday, April 26, in line with the relaxing of COVID restrictions in Wales.

The Woodworks Café - part of The Woodworks Garden Centre in Mold in the heart of the North Wales borderlands - will be opening its outdoor eating area with a new menu.

Breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea, the café offers a varied and delicious menu, and is the perfect place to enjoy a bite to eat with family and friends.

The outdoor menu features many old favourites - from delicious breakfast buns to homemade soup or Welsh Rarebit for lunch to indulgent cakes with afternoon coffee or tea.

There’s a variety of tasty delights to tantalise the tastebuds.

For those who are more pressed for time, freshly made take-away sandwiches are available from the Woodworks Food Shop.

Commenting ahead of the re-opening, Woodworks Café Manager, Fiona Coke said: “We are excited to be re-opening and are looking forward to welcoming customers safely back to our outdoor Café.

“We have introduced a number of new systems to ensure we follow government guidelines, including an online booking form, but customers can be assured that, even if the weather isn’t perfect, the team will give them a very warm and friendly welcome!”

Whilst the Woodworks Café has been closed, the garden centre has been very busy with customers aiming to get their gardens spring and summer ready.

The Outdoor Plant Area is packed full of perennials, spring flowers, bedding plants and a full range of ornamental and fruit trees, as well as soft fruit, shrubs, hedging and roses from a local suppliers.

Also proving popular is the new Woodworks Food Shop which is filled with artisan suppliers including brands such as Two Farmers crisps, Dylan’s Sauces, Stag Crackers, Bridges Condiments and Odysea Oils and Balsamic Vinegar.

Customers visiting the cafe can enjoy the specially adapted outdoor area which feature gazebos with electric points and heaters, set amongst the beautiful flowers and plants of The Woodworks Garden Centre.
