POLICE in Wrexham have reiterated their support for local businesses after a crackdown on repeat offenders in the town.
Insp Luke Hughes told the Leader that during lock down, Wrexham town saw an increase in shoplifting incidents with a number of repeat offenders targeting town centre retailers.
He said: "To address the issue a small dedicated team of officers was established to collate these offences and pursue those responsible.
