POLICE have launched an "urgent appeal" for witnesses following a serious collision on the A483 in Wrexham.
The incident happened northbound at Junction 5 (Plas Coch) at about 2.45am.
The A483 between Junction 4 (Coedpoeth) and Junction 5 is currently closed while investigation work is carried out.
The southbound carriageway between J5 and 6 is also shut with police saying they hope to reopen it shortly after 10am.
The northbound carriageway is likely to remain closed until just after 10.30am.
North Wales Police said: "Urgent appeal regarding the RTC A483 Junction 5 north bound at approx 02:45 on the 28th March 2021, if you were a witness to this RTC or have any dash cam footage, please call us on 101 quoting the event number Z041991."
The force had earlier posted on social media: "Re Earlier RTC A483 Junction between 5-6 - This stretch of the A483 will remain closed for several hours in both directions. Diversions are in place but please avoid the area were possible."
