CANNABIS plants were found when police stopped a vehicle in Wrexham.
The Leader reported recently how officers in the town launched an initiative to tackle motoring offences.
Inspector Luke Hughes said the public would see more officers checking vehicles on the town's roads for a variety of things including documentation and condition - as well as tackling drink and drug driving.
On Friday evening, a spokesman for the Wrexham Town policing team shared details of a discovery made during one of those checks.
They said: "Our officers have this afternoon stopped a vehicle and found cannabis plants and paraphernalia for cultivation."
