MEN assaulted a woman and tried to rob her of her dog while she was out walking it in Flintshire, police have said.
North Wales Police said the incident occurred on Prince William Gardens in Mancot at about 7pm on Wednesday (February 24).
It saw two men approach a woman from behind as she was walking her dog.
One of the men allegedly punched the woman while they made an attempt to take the dog lead, but the dog slipped its collar and ran off, police said.
The two men then fled on foot.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or CCTV in the area to call them on 101 quoting reference number Z026691.
