A DEESIDE community group says it is "delighted" with the response of the public to its school uniform exchange scheme.
The School Uniform Exchange Group is helping struggling families get their youngsters kitted out with everything they need.
And the group has handed out 60 school uniforms to date - with a donation hub recently set up in Mancot Library, to go alongside others at the White Lion pub in Buckley and Aston Park Community Centre.
There are also plans in place to open one in Sandycroft.
Mancot community councillor, Ant Turton, said: "We are all delighted with the response from the public with how the uniform exchange has gone.
"All the hubs are working well together and to have handed out our 60th uniform in such a short time since launching the project has made all the hard work worthwhile."
Aston county councillor, Helen Brown, said: "There’s a huge need out there and with kids hopefully going back to school soon there are probably going to be a lot of outgrown uniforms that were hardly worn before we all went into lockdown.
“We know people will be struggling on furlough and with job losses – they might not be able to get out and buy new things either – so we wanted to help lift any barriers and that is where the uniform exchange came from.”
