GREGGS has opened a new shop in Flint.

The shop, which opened on Flintshire Retail Park on Friday, will be open for take away.

The new shop will provide a modern food-on-the go experience and has created nine new jobs.

The opening comes as Greggs announced it would be opening 20 new shops across the UK during the remainder of 2020.

The new shop in Flintshire will offer a whole range of Greggs favourites, including sandwiches, savouries and sweet treats.

Originally, the company said the Flint branch would offer a Click and Collect service but this is now no longer the case.

The shop’s staff will be on hand to serve an array of hot drinks from peppermint and green tea to Americanos and the festive Salted Caramel Latte. All Greggs coffee is made from a unique blend of mild, high grown Arabica beans from Peru and Colombia and rich tasting Robusta beans from Tanzania, meaning not only does it taste delicious, but it’s 100% Fairtrade.

The new Greggs shop will also stock a range of vegan-friendly products, including the Vegan Steak Bake and Vegan Sausage Roll.

Natasha Newman, shop manager at Flintshire Retail Park said: “We cannot wait to open our doors and welcome customers from the local community. We are pleased to offer customers a range of tasty items to takeaway or via Click and Collect.”

Roisin Currie, retail and people director for Greggs, said: “We’re delighted to be able to invest in Flintshire bringing new jobs to the area and providing both new and existing customers with a modern and convenient new shop.”

The shop opening times are 6am – 6pm Monday – Saturday and 8am – 4pm on Sunday.
