A FLINTSHIRE pub is warning it could be forced to impose an age restriction ban if people keep flouting Covid rules.

The Burntwood near Buckley is warning people under the age of 25 face being banned if they don't start following the rules.

The ban would see people under the age of 25 only be able to enter the premises if they're with an adult.

The pub's management said it is "getting tired" of telling people to follow Covid rules, and that they have "invested a lot of time and effort" in making the pub Covid safe.

A statement by the pub's landlord released on social media said: "I'm going to enforce an age restriction ban of where no one under the age of 25 is allowed unless you are with an adult.

"Myself and staff are getting tired of repeating ourselves for you to follow the rules, we have invested a lot of time and effort making a better safer place to be enjoyed in this difficult time we are not your parents and have a duty of care to staff and other members of the public.

"It's very simple, you either follow the rules put in place or an age restriction ban will be put in place and you will only have yourselves to blame."

The statement continued: "We are expected to enforce the rules set out by the government and if we do not there will be consequences for me and my business.

"It's unfair for the ones that do follow the rules but there has to be a line drawn somewhere."
