BROOKE ADELAIDE BURNS born on October 25 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital

The Leader:

Weight: 7lb 12oz

Parents: Katie Leigh Jones and Rhys Burns

"My daughter went into the hospital for induction as she was three days over and was getting palpitations. When the midwife went to start the induction she noticed Katie was already 4cm dilated and there was no need for induction.

"They arranged a bed on the labour ward and she was then 12 hours in labour before baby's heart rate dropped drastically and they needed to take them to theatre for an emergency c-section.

"Brooke Adelaide Burns was then born 6.16pm. Cannot thank the staff enough for looking after my daughter and bringing my granddaughter safely into this world. Brooke is a like a little doll and absolutely beautiful."

KAIDEN MARCUS STEPHEN GEE born on October 10 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital

The Leader:

Weight: 5lb 15oz

Parent: Natalie Gee

Siblings: Summer-Louise

"I had to go in on October 9 at 6.30am to be induced, finally getting induced at 1.30pm. The pains started around tea time, so I had a bath.

"Around 3.15am the nurses put me back in the bath to help, as all my contractions were in my back. I stayed in the bath for about an hour-and-a-half. The nurses that were on shift that night were absolutely lovely. I had two of them taking it in turns rubbing my back.

"I then got taken into the delivery room, got on the bed had a few puffs of gas and air, spoke to the midwife about pain relief tasked for epidural. She went off to get the stuff, came back, I pushed, she broke my waters and four minutes later my little miracle baby was here."

DARCEY CUSTANCE-CLUTTON born on October 2 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital

The Leader:

Weight: 5lb 13

Parents: Jodie Custance and Nigel Clutton

Siblings: Georgia, Cai and Archie

"Darcey was born five weeks early by emergency c-section. We both had to stay in hospital for over a week as both needed IV antibiotics and monitoring. Staff at the maternity unit and Scubu were amazing with us both."

EMMIE ROSE JONES born on September 22 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital

The Leader:

Weight: 5lbs 1oz

Parents: Lauren Goodlet and Ryan Jones

Siblings: Elsie Ivy Jones

"I went in at 37+2 to be induced Because she was measuring small, and was induced Monday, September 21st at 6am. With Covid-19 my partner couldn't come in with me, so I went alone. It was horrible being alone and in pain. The pain was really bad. I decided to have a bath to ease the pain. I knew I was dilating fast as I did with my first induction three years ago. I was 10cm and rushed on my bed to labour ward as I couldn't walk myself and obviously being 10cm had to be quick!

"I rang my partner at 12.10pm, he got there 12,25pm and Emmie was born 12.28pm. My experience was horrible this time, my first induction was a lot smoother and relaxed because my partner could be there the whole time. We got to leave the same day though, and we were home by 7pm on September 22."
