A STUDENT at a secondary school in Flintshire has died, it has been confirmed.
News that a Year 9 student at Castell Alun High School in Hope has sadly died was confirmed by Flintshire County Council on Friday.
The authority's chief officer for education and youth, Claire Homard, said: βIt is with the deepest sadness that I can confirm that a student at Castell Alun High School has passed away.
"The school is supporting pupils and staff at this incredibly difficult time and I would ask that you respect their privacy as they mourn the loss of a member of their school family.β
The circumstances surrounding the student's death remain undisclosed at this time.
